Spearfishing NZ Nationals 2020

Spearfishing 2020 Nationals updates including venue location and accommodation discounts.

NZ Spearfishing Nationals 2020: 14th-19th April

CHANGE OF LOCATION

The organiser of next year's Nationals has opted out so the committee has decided on a committee run nationals at Omaha, just north of Auckland. It'll be based around the Omaha Surf Club tentatively at this stage with the Prize Giving dinner at the Omaha Golf Club. This will be a first for Auckland Spearos as a sort of home venue comp where they can 'day trip' it. The area offers 2 boat ramps, one at Leigh and the other at Omaha meaning the places available to dive will include The Hen and Chicks, The Mokohinaus, Little Barrier, Kawau Island and the northern end of Great Barrier. Our photographic event could be held at Goat Island one of NZ's premier Marine Reserves.

We are looking at a range of activities to make this a very special event!

For those requiring accommodation
Whangateau Holiday Park
Offering a 10% discount to anyone mentioning they are there for the Nationals (speak to Petrina)

Book a bach and Air BnB are your other options or one of the several Motels between Warkworth and Leigh.
