Experiencing marine reserves has four great events lined up before Christmas to get involved with.

Shakespeare Snorkel Day

Exploring Te Haruhi Bay in Shakespeare Regional Park

Saturday November 30th

Whangateau Snorkel Day

Swim among the mangroves see if you can spot any triplefins, parore, crabs or yellow eyed mullet!

Celebrating the memory of Dr Roger Grace.

Sunday December 1st

Torbay Snorkel Day

A fun day for the whole family!

This event is funded by the Hibiscus and Bays Local Board and The Bobby Stafford-Bush Foundation in partnership with the Long Bay Okura Great Parks Society.

Saturday December 7th

Okura Kaitiaki Day

Join EMR at Deborah Reserve for a day of guided kayaking with Canoe and Kayak, stand up paddleboarding with Mission Bay Watersports, freshwater workshops by Whitebait Connection and information stalls about the Long Bay - Okura Marine Reserve
